First Field Trip
Veronica's and Xavier's class went on fieldtrips today to a local farm. With two in kindergarten it was a toss up as to whose class I went with. I meant to chose Xavier's class to help corral the wildness in my boy but I chose Veronica's class by accident and so it was with this group that I went. We really had a good time with all the farm activities.
We went on a hayride to a pumpkin patch where we got to take a pumpkin home.
Picked cotton from a field.
Jumped on haystacks and rode tire horses.
While all the activities were fun, the interaction with the parents had much to be desired. This group of parents, especially the mothers are very clickish and unfriendly. I tried very hard to get to know some of these woman but they did not want to get to know me. I felt like I was in junior high all over again. It was ridiculous. When I went over to Xavier's group later that morning, the mothers there were all so welcoming! I think Veronica's class has some very insecure woman. I can only hope that as the year continues on they'll warm up a bit.
