It's hard to believe when your oldest gets older. The
adage about children growing fast is so true. We had great plans for his birthday this year but some misbehavior in school for 3 days in a row had those plans altered. I thought his party would be a good motivation for better behavior but it alas, it wasn't. He lost the party with friends but we still celebrated as family together. We went to the kids favorite restaurant, where they sing a Mexican birthday song and get to wear the ole' sombrero.
Veronica of course wanted a try. The other two tried the hat on but it was so big it didn't fit their heads!
We came home and celebrated with cake and presents. My attempt at an R2D2 cake was a epic failure, but
Xavi said he still liked it. He was blessed with many gifts from friends and family. What a gift he is to us, our six year old little man.
