Crown of Thorns

The two older kids, hubby and I made a salt dough crown of thorn wreath as a centerpiece for our table during Lent. The salt dough was braided into a circle and tooth picks inserted to resemble thorns. We will be pulling out the thorns over the next couple of weeks for each good deed that we do (helping each other, cleaning rooms without being asked, etc...) My hope is that all the thorns are removed before Easter Sunday. We will then replace the toothpicks with jewels and make a royal crown ready for the Risen King.

The beeswax candle the kids made earlier in March came out so nice.
