It has now become our family tradition to set up the Christmas tree the first night of Advent. I think this is the third year that we've done this and it makes for a great start to preparing ourselves for the wonderful gift of Jesus. The kids are getting so good at hanging ornaments. The parents are not so good with the lights and garland. But it made for a wonderful family night. I've decorated baby jars (since we have so many of them) with pretty purple scrapbook paper and filled it with a treat for our nightly Advent devotional time.
