Olivia is here!! She arrived on Monday, September 29th at 3:58pm weighing in at 7lb 11 ounces and 19 inches long. And yes, ladies, I did it (WITH THE HELP OF GOD)! I finally gave birth au natural, no drugs and just a slight tear not worthy of a stitch. I must tell you that giving birth natural was awesome.
I did loose it for about a minute when the pain became unbearable. I got extremely fearful and started screaming and my mother said my eyes were full of panic. I think Guido was thoroughly terrified for me, but my mother said it was good for him to see how hard it is to have a baby. Epidurals make childbirth easy, and going natural was indeed a surprise and shock to both Guido and I.
I went from 7cm dilated to 10 cm in less than 15 minutes. That's when the pain began to become unbearable. But once I got myself back into reality, I realized I needed to push correctly and within 8 minutes, Olivia was born. She shot out so fast (like a cannon) that her face was a little bruised and swollen. But after 3 days, she's a beauty. She went to the doctors and has already gained her weight back, she's 7lbs. 12 ounces today. Xavier is completely fascinated with her and can't keep his hands off of her. Veronica has also transitioned well, but her interest is not as high as her brother's.
I am feeling so well that I have to remind myself to still take it easy. Olivia is cluster feeding and my poor chest feels like it's on fire! She's a nighttime baby up from midnight to 4am. But all in all this childbirth experience has been the best. Thanks of course to all the support from friends here and near! You're prayers have been a blessing.

Congratulations Jenette, she is absolutely beautiful! I knew you could do it. Don't worry we went completely insane for a minute or so before we got into the zone. We'll you've got three out of the four before forty. We'll continue to pray for a smooth transition.
Congratulations! Transition between chidbirth phases is panic time...a lot like the transition time that Tavia is praying smoothness for. Good job, and how great that your mom was there. Do take it easy...for the next 6 months or so. :)
She is so beautiful! LOVE the cheeks. I had severe engorgement problems with my last two, cabbages works wonders in case you go through it. You place them on your breasts and the nutrients on the leaves dries up the milk and helps the flow going. I'm sure you may not need to, but it's handy info. I look forward to seeing pics of her as she grows. God bless your whole family!!!
I'm so proud of you. She is beautiful.
