Still Celebrating

Veronica is still celebrating. She received a birthday package on Friday from our friend Lisa and had a blast with the princess dress that was inside. Thank you Lisa for your thoughtfulness and for checking to make sure that the princess stuff was okay to send.

"What, you let Veronica have a princess dress!", my family must be spitting out their coffee, because they know how much I've talked against giving my little girl any princess stuff. I don't have a problem with princess merchandise outside of the Disney characters. I have met way too many toddlers and preschoolers who have been showered with all the Disney princess stuff and are rude little girls who think that the world evolves around them only. I don't want my Onica to imitate them. I want her to know that she is indeed, a princess to the Most High King, but not of the kingdom of Disney. I love the fact that Onica likes to dress up and that her imagination is growing. So for now, I'll let her have her costumes. Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty may have to wait a few more year.

No more soap box, here's my girl in all her finery.
