I have a hundred things on my to-do-list, and as usual, I procrastinate and do the ones that are extremely necessary (i.e., laundry, cook dinner). My list is more of a project list rather than a daily to-do but at least I feel I have accomplished several big ones in the last two days, of which this lovely sandbox was one. A neighbor down the road gave us this used sandbox back in September when we first moved here. It is now July and I finally washed it down and got two large bags of play sand. The kids had a ball filling pails with sand and running it through a funnel.
There is still so much to do before the new baby comes and now that I have some energy I am making the most of every opportunity. Yesterday I mopped the dinning room floor on my knees and scrubbed down the walls. It's amazing how dirty walls can get between wooden chairs rubbing against them and food flung from high chairs. But now the walls and floors are clean and half the laundry is done, folded and put away. I even had a chance to read last night when the kids went to bed, it was a full day and I felt wonderfully elated until I looked at the other 97 things left on my list. C'est la vie!

Love the quote, "Cleaning the house before the kids leave home is like shoveling the walk before the snow stops falling." And that my dear friend is why the list never goes away. The days that I get something done I feel elated just like you. Now for a nap!
