I have been working with Xavier on helping him learn his colors. My mother-in-law gave me several Macmillan Early Skills manipulatives like this set of Count & Sort. I usually use these activities for one-on-one time with the kids. Today when Veronica was laying down for her nap, I gave them to Xavier to play with (it was a quite activity to keep him busy). I stepped away to clean lunch dishes and when I returned he had sorted and grouped each set of colors. This is a big time first. He's never done that, and it's just amazing to see how children learn. I told him I was so proud. He was able to name all the colors correctly. They grow up so fast. I remember when he was just my only baby!

Oh wow...I can imagine you coming into the room and seeing that - little rush of excitement that your baby boy did something new. Yeah Xavi!
Their little minds are like sponges. I'm always surprised at what Lucas knows. He has been evaluated for his speech. They do a complete evaluation, and I didn't realize how much he knew. I do some things with him, but I guess it's helped that he has 3 older sisters, too.
