And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. (Matt. 8:26)
I'm sure we're not the only ones that from time to time lose a little ground in the faith department. We had another bout of "are we gonna make it" this week. With a house in foreclosure in Florida and running on empty before we reach September when student loan money becomes available, every day seems like a challenge. And yet, God continues to tell us to remain faithful and not fearful. When the opportunity came to sink or float this week, I reminded my husband of God's faithfulness. Within a couple of hours we got a phone call from our realtor who said she received an offer on the house and was sending us the contract. Then, that night I put our old car on craigslist to see if it would sell. I did this at 11pm, at 11:15pm, someone called and said he'd be there in the morning to buy the car. Low and behold he came, bought the car with cash and we were able to pay the rent. Like our physical bodies, which require exercise to build muscles, so too is our faith built. Lord, please forgive us when we become fearful, and help us to always have our eyes fixed on you and not our circumstances.

It is amazing how when we choose obedience, God doesn't waste time on his faithfulness. What a testament of His goodness.
AMEN!
Thank you for the reminder!!!
