We've started to establish more daily chores for the kids to do and so far they are excited about doing them. Most especially my daughter Veronica who has taken to dish washing so exquisitely. I was just giving her some small plastic dishes and bowls to wash. She has now graduated to washing glasses, silverware, real dishes and bowls. I thought I'd have to re-do them because she wasn't going to get them clean enough, but I don't! She washes with great care and is very thorough in cleaning. I am just amazed. I left her in the kitchen to wash a small load of dishes while I gave the baby a bottle and she had them all washed, dried and put away. She's 4 years old. That doesn't happen all the time, but what an amazing gift that is to me when she does follow through!! Olivia is following her sister's example.

I am amazed at that age how they take to tasks. Gigi's kids always shine when I give the "a job" to do when they are in my home.
