Thanks to my sweet, young friend, Denise, for spending time with me over the weekend and teaching me to knit. Yes ladies, I started and finished the project with Denise. I made a felted cup cozy! She taught me how to cast on, the knit stitch, the purl stitch, how to increase, how to decrease, and how to cast off. Amazing, I always thought it was so much more complicated.
I was just telling my hubby how I felt I didn't have a creative outlet because all I did was housework and childcare. To have Denise spend a couple of hours with me was like pure gold. She has a given a wonderful link to knitting beginners on her blog. What are your creative outlets?

You did a really great job. I love it when people give it an honest try instead of convincing themselves that it is to complicated for them.
Good job on the knitting and felting...the felting has always scared me. Check out Lionbrand Yarns.com for some great free patterns and instructions. Right now my creative outlet is Frontierville...how lame is that?
Cool! I'm inspired to give it a shot. Your stitches look so even too. My creative outlet .... is.... my blog at the moment, does that count?
