Dinner for 6 for $4.50

Last week the hubby, kids and I stopped at Super Target to pick up a meal for a last-minute picnic dinner in the park. I was surprised to find some really good food sales. They had grapes last week for 99cent a pound. It's not near where we live so I rarely shop here. But I was passing by today so I thought I'd stop to see what was on sale. Low and behold, they had one of my favorite Archer Farm meals. The original price for this pack is $5, but today it was on sale for $3.35. The meal package includes a can of chicken, the spices, the dried fruit and the couscous. Portion size is a cup prepared and it feeds six. So for our family, one box will do.

A girlfriend introduced this to me in Georiga when she invited us over for dinner. After telling me repeatedly that she did not know how to cook, I was a little apprehensive about coming over for dinner. When we walked in the house smelled so fragrant. This meal really captures the Moroccan influence it was designed to sell, and it's delicious. Let me just say I could not get enough when I was served, and who would have even known it was canned chicken! Along with fresh backed soft Italian bread for $1.15, tonight's dinner is going to rock! Now if I only had dessert planned....

Isn't it wonderful when you know what is for dinner. I don't know about your home, but the dreaded "What are we eating for dinner?" is a far too common question asked around here. Plus add a big YeeHaw to it all being on sale. I've missed a couple of posts so I'll just add all my comments here :)

The happy birthday video made me giggle. So cute. I loved how Veronica and Xavi not only repeated after you but also repeated your exact intonations.

The Christmas Card movie - girl...if you only knew. I recorded that movie long, long ago on our DVR and watch it repeatedly. It's such an innocent, sweet movie. It's what I call my go-to movie. You know, when I finally sit down and turn on the TV but nothing really is on for me to watch, but I want to watch something...The Christmas Card. Arthur will walk by and say - Oh no, not that movie again.

Those crafty items look like good projects to tackle. I have some on my list too, but just no motivation to do them...more power to you!
