More Family Comes To Visit

The kids were excited to have their cousin Orrin come for a visit. I was excited to have my sister-n-law come for a visit. Peggy and my brother Ethan married when Peggy was just 19 years old. It seems so young to marry, but it was right for them. Peggy is the closest thing I have to a sister and I treasure her so much. There was a time though, and we both acknowledge this, that we could not spend more than 3 days together without getting into a huge fight. We laugh now and every day that passes after 3 when we're together, we celebrate because we realize we've matured! Don't ask me what my issues with her were because I can't remember them so I'm sure they were pretty petty.

Of course the week she comes to visit it had to be the hottest most humid week in Alabama. We took a trip to the zoo and melted. So we decided to just stay inside and enjoy one another. It was a low-country visit. Not too much excitement just great time with each other.

I will also add that my sweet mother came again to visit us during this time so she could see her Orrin. It tickles me to see my mom swept up with emotion because Orrin looks so much like Ethan as a baby. It's sort of like her past being re-lived and it's fascinating to me to hear stories that I haven't heard before because the actual presence of Orrin triggers memories of Ethan.
