Everything's Beachy

So here are a few pictures of the day we spent at the beach when we went home for a week visit. A close family friend was getting married and the kids and I took a road adventure all on our own, mommy and the kids alone for 9 hours in the car. The kids actually did great. We left our home at 6am and drove to Conyers to visit friends in the morning. After lunch we got back in the car and drove the 6 hours to Jacksonville. The kids were excited to see their grandparents. My mother promised the kids a day at the beach and the moment they heard that on the phone before we left town, it was "are we going to the beach now"? My kids love the water be it pool, lake, water park, or beach. Xavi would have ended up out to sea if I let him. He has no fear and unfortunately doesn't yet know how to swim (something we will remedy this summer). They wanted to build sandcastles but the water lured Xavi away. Veronica who is more cautious became absolutely taken by the cold sea water and as you can see loved to splash and run around. It was a great time. Olivia came to the beach but fell fast asleep and never experienced the surf or sand. By the time we left she was just waking up.
