It's Not Even Thanksgiving....

"It's not even Thanksgiving", that's what I'm always thinking to myself when I see Christmas decorations already advertised the day after Halloween. But today when I went to Walmart I caught myself singing (out loud mind you) the Hallelujah Chorus being played on the overhead speakers. I didn't realize how loud I was singing because I was in an isle all by myself. It was only after I turned the corner down a new aisle full of people, me singing, "and he shall reign for ever and ever..., that I thought perhaps I'm singing too loud!

You can imagine my horror at being caught singing soprano! I have no grandeur about becoming a rock star, but I did fantasize about being an opera star once! Of course God did not seem to think that was the course for my life as he gave me no ability to sing on key or notes of any range. I do recall the Psalmist saying, "make a joyful noise". I make a lot of noise when I'm joyful! After the week I've been through I was just so glad to be actually out of the house.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, I'm ready for the holiday! I can't wait to sit at the table and enjoy the company of family and good delicious food. My dear Jacksonville ladies, I'm coming home for Thanksgiving, does anyone have any time to spare to sit and chat over coffee?
