Colds and RSV

What a miserable week we've had in our home. We've all been sick with runny noses, fevers, earaches, and terrible coughing and unfortunately, Olivia caught what we all had. But when a baby catches a cold they could also catch RSV (respiratory syncytial virus) basically an infection of the lungs and respiratory tract. She's in worst shape than all of us. After having seen the doctor on Monday afternoon, we ended taking her to the ER because her breathing got more labored and she stopped eating and became lethargic. RSV is really dangerous to preemies and infants under 6 weeks of age (Olivia is 5 weeks old). It lasts about 2 weeks and the worst days are usually the 5th and 6th day (we went to the ER on the 5th day). She's getting nebulizer treatments and is doing a little bit better. But what a scare she gave us! It sure is a challenge to take care of everyone when you're sick yourself, but with God's grace we've made it through the worst part and now everyone is on medication and healing.

Thank God she and all are improving. It can be so scary when they're so little.
