Thrifty Meal Ideas

I was watching the CBS morning show's segment on Pampered Chef's ideas for low budget meals. Here are three from their website that are suppose to be around $2 a serving:

• Asian Pork and Noodle Skillet
• Deluxe Cheesburger Salad
• Creamy One Pot Pasta

I have yet to try them, but as usual I'll have to play around with the recipe to substitute all the things that irritate Guido's diet. If anyone has some really good cheap cassarole dish recipes, I'd love them. I've got to get together some meals for a friend who's having a baby next week and you know how expensive it is to make a food budget stretch to feed others.
