This week has been really good. I unfortunately played too much and haven't gotten any of my housework done. We are leaving to go visit our mothers for Mother's Day and I made time for fun this week and didn't really balance all my other responsibilities. My girlfriend Gloria wrote a blog just recently about the things that "hang over our heads". My growing pile of laundry and things that need to be ironed is what's hanging over my head! I hate folding clothes. I wash them and then they sit in the dryer, which causes the other pile of things that need to be ironed. I love that we have a downstairs laundry room, but it creates a great place for clothes to pile up and hide. I did fold and put away last week's laundry on Tuesday. Now I have this week's laundry....it just never ends. So as I stare at the overly procrastinated piles of laundry I think I'll bake a pie, an apple pie, the one I saw on PBS' Everyday Baking.

I hear ya girlfriend on the whole laundry sitting in the dryer...Arthur learned that early about me in our marriage and thank goodness he doesn't mind doing laundry, he quickly volunteered to be responsible for that household chore! However, it doesn't stop him from reminding me on occasion that if we ever get to the point where I can be a full-time homemaker, that I will be responsible for doing (and putting away) the laundry.
