About 2 weeks ago Xavier lost his beloved "Bear" at Walmart. We searched and searched but could not find him. The first 3 days were agonizing for all of us. Xavier would be okay all day until bedtime and then he would cry for an hour straight asking where his "Bear" was. It broke my heart to hear his sobs. We have a blue bear that looks very similar to his "Bear" but Xavier refused him and wouldn't have anything to do with him. I realized after the third day that although "Blue Bear" looked and felt like "Bear" there was a difference I hadn't noticed. "Blue Bear's" hands were sewn together where as "Bear's" hands were open. After pulling out the threads. Xavier took comfort in "Blue Bear". I spent the next few days searching earnestly over the internet for a replacement bear. I finally found one on EBAY. It seemed everyone wanted the same bear. The auction went up to $51. I was desperate in the last minutes and had to hold myself back. I don't have $51 to be spending on a used bear. I think I got caught up in the last minute countdown craze. I lost the auction! What was I going to do? Fortunately after doing a more open-ended search I found another one and got it for a much more reasonable price. I told Xavier "Bear" was on his way home and that we needed to check the mailbox everday. Well, he arrived today! Xavier was so pleased. The video also shows how attached he got to "Blue Bear" in "Bear's" absence.
