New Beginnings...

Okay, here we go! This is my first blog entry for ReadySetGrowGonzalez. I’m fascinated by the idea of blogs. The opportunity to say what you like about anything online for the world to see is just too alluring. Really, the only purpose for this blog is to allow friends and family members to keep up with our home life. I don’t have anything really poignant to say or anything too deep to share. I just wanted the opportunity to tell stories about my kids, husband, and home life.

For those who don't know, we moved to Georgia in September. Guido is enrolled at Luther Rice Seminary. He's also submitted his application for the Chaplaincy Candidate Program with the National Guard. And if all goes as planned, he'll be serving in the National Guard as a Chaplain soon.

Xavier and Veronica are doing well. They have adjusted nicely to our new home. We just recently celebrated Veronica's 1st birthday in August and just last month she learned to walk. She's a pro already and very determined to start running anytime soon. Xavier just celebrated his 2nd birthday. He's growing up much too quickly. His vocabulary is growing daily with new words I never even knew he could pronounce. We're going to call this year "terrific two" and expect the best.

Our church, St. Andrew's, is awesome! We have so enjoyed getting to know the clergy and church members. Some feel as if we'd known them forever. We're participating in the Alpha Course and having lots of fun.

There is a freshness, a newness to our life here in Georgia and it's wonderful.
