I have never made or participated in decorating gingerbread at Christmas. It was never in any of our traditions growing up. But the kids wanted to try it out this year, and with the cousins coming for a visit, I found a gingerbread village that was reasonable and had enough supplies to make 6 houses. The kids had a blast and it kept them very entertained for a long time. So much detail went into each little house.
