Deck The Halls

This year's process of trimming the tree was such a wonderful experience as a family. I think the kids are really beginning to understand and enjoy Advent and the preparation for Christmas. Last year's attempts to do a night time Advent devotion with candles and simple readings was really successful and it has proven so again this year. One of the highlights from last week was Xavier opening up the Bible and saying, "Tonight's reading comes from Isaiah, 9:6, For to us a child is born, for to us a son is given. And the government shall be upon his shoulders." Slowly but surely, they're getting it!
