Onica Is 3

Another birthday celebration, Veronica turns 3. I can't get over how big she is getting and how many new skills she is developing. Her language skills are much better although she talks so softly it's hard to hear her speak. When she went for 3 year check up she had to have a vision screening and I was unsure if she would tell the nurse what the objects were. When the nurse pointed to the star, she said very quietly, almost a whisper, "star". When the nurse pointed to the letter O, I couldn't even hear her response so I asked her to speak up, which she then hollored "IT'S AN O". Okay no need to worry about her comprehension.

Our dear friend from church made her a "Finding Nemo" cake which she had been asking for almost 6 months, "Mommy, when it's my birthday, I would like a Nemo cake". I am not talented in the cake decorating area so it was a blessing to have our friend, Susanna, bake the cake from scratch with a rich buttercream frosting. The kids and their friends played several rounds of musical chairs and then a relay race with balloons and fishing nets. We opened presents and ate cake. It was a lovely celebration of her little life!
