Yellow River Game Ranch

It's Spring Break week. Guido's been off from school but we haven't seen much of him lately! He's been busy finishing several papers for his classes so we've been having fun for him. My MOPS group had a bunch of scheduled activities this week so we joined the crew and went off to an animal farm called "The Yellow River Game Ranch". Much cheaper than a zoo trip and much more "hands on" this park had a variety of animals like deer and birds that roamed the park freely. The deer were so tame they ate from our hands. They had goats, sheep, mountain lions, buffalo and very loud donkeys. The kids had a blast. We were allowed to feed the animals crackers, but when I handed them to the kids, they ate them instead. Here are several pictures from our adventure. The crackers were meant for the animals and they tried their best to get them from Veronica. While walking on the path I turned around to find my two holding hands. It was so sweet to see Xavier taking care of Veronica.

Your children are absolutely beautiful. They are so much fun to watch at this age. I often look back in the car and see Anna and Lucas sitting there holding hands. These are moments truly to be treasured.

Love Ya,
Gigi

Spring Break - what's that?!?!?! I think that regardless of career path, socieconomic status, life committments - Spring Break (with pay) should be mandatory. What a nice thought that would be. Sounds like it was a good day. Hope you and Guido get some time squeezed in there together soon.

Did your heart melt when you turned around to seeing your Xavi being a little man and taking care of his sister?

There are moments when Xavier is so tender to Veronica. And then there are the moments when both of them are at each other to get a toy. I love to see the tender moments. Just yesterday we were going to the park and Veronica ran up to Xavier to get him to hold her hand. He didn't necessarily want to hold her hand, but he did and she smiled from ear to ear.
