Home Again

We are at last home again. The trip to Virginia was long with two little ones in tow. We made it though and had a great time with family. My sister-in-law, Kim, went through surgery well and then was put on a liquid diet for two weeks. It wasn't much fun for her but we did our best to take care of her and try to keep quiet so she could rest! When we left on the 9th, she was able to move about much better and had only 1 more day on her stringent diet. Recovery is slow she will not be able to return to work for another 3 to 4 weeks. Josh is next with surgery planned soon for some reflux problems he's having. He too will be on a liquid diet so we may be going up again to take care of him.

Josh and Kim live in a gorgeous house not decorated for small children! The kids had me running around making sure they weren't breaking things. The large converterd basement made a fun playroom. They used Josh's pool table as their fort and we had hours of fun hiding underneath it. I got pretty good at playing Nintendo's "Guitar Hero" although I won't be going on tour just yet.

Kim and I got a chance to bond better as "sisters" not just in-laws. It was hard leaving after spending so much time with Josh and Kim. My mother has always said she had Josh for me. He was always my little baby. I feed him, washed him, changed his diapers. He was my living baby doll. As we grew older, we grew more apart. Now as adults I feel closer than ever. I am amazed to see this little boy be such a man!

The dogwood trees are in bloom all around us. It's so beautiful and serene. It really feels like spring. It was nice coming home again to Guido. I can't even begin to tell you how much I missed him. He says I'm more cuddly now than I was before I left. I guess I just don't want to let him go again!
